Sunday June 14th we celebrate reopening our sanctuary for services! Here are a few changes you might notice:
*There will be no passing of the peace.
*Offering plates will be at each entrance, and when that time comes, you can go drop your envelope in the nearest receptacle.
*Worshipers can sit in family groups, but available pews are marked to comply with social distancing rules.
*There will be no nursery available, so please bring something to occupy your children. Services will be kept shorter to help your sanity!
*Masks are optional, but preferred during singing. I will preach from on the pulpit and serve as liturgist as well so no microphones will be shared.
*Science has proven that the virus can survive on surfaces up to 3 days; therefore, pew Bibles and hymnals can be used, since we touch them only once a week.
*On communion Sundays, there will be two stations where you may come and take a pre-filled wafer/juice combination cup (remaining socially distant), return to your pews, and we will open them and partake of the elements together.
*After the benediction, we will dismiss by rows, front rows first, and you may socialize outside the building.
These changes have been incorporated for our protection as we avoid becoming sick; but we get to be together once again, joyfully praising the Lord who loves our worship and is mightier than any virus!
